Dennis is currently a Boeing 757 First Officer with Asia Pacific Airlines.  He has many years of experience in the military which includes Director of Operations for a national training center. He brings business management, education and IT skills to the regional board.

He retired from the USAF with the rank of Lt. Col. and was a Command Pilot with over 5000 hours of flight time. He then was a Courseware Design Specialist and C-27J Instructor Pilot with L-3 Communications and Alenia Aeronautica of Turin, Italy.  Dennis has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Aeronautics from Parks College of St. Louis University, a Masters of Science Degree from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, and is currently completing study for Doctor of Philosophy in Education with Northcentral University. 

He has been active in every community where he has been privileged to reside, serving as Volunteer Boy Scout Adult Scouter for more than 10 years. He has taken on many roles as Cub Scout Cub Master, Boy Scout Assistant Scout Master, District Training Chairman, Train The Trainer program and was District Outstanding Service Award recipient.

He currently serves the EHRB as Secretary/Treasurer and is Chairman of the Joint Conference Committee, Vice-Chair of the Strategic Planning committee and is a Member of the Finance and Patient Safety and Quality Committees.

After having lived in numerous places in North America, Asia and Europe Dennis has chosen to live in Hilo where he has resided for six years.  He has three grown sons.
